Hip Fractures

Hip is a joint where thigh bone (femur) meets with the hip (Acetabulum) bone. The “hip” is a ball-and-socket joint that allows the leg to bend and rotate at the pelvis.

    • Immobilisation – Derotation splints
    • Analgesics
    Surgical
    • Neck of femur Fracture : Young patients – cancellous screw fixation

      Old patients – Bipolar Hemiarthroplasty

    • Intertrochanteric Fracture: Dynamic Hip Screw and plate fixation(DHS)

      Nailing (PFN, Intertan)

    • Subtrochanteric Fracture: Plating

      Nailing( Recon)
